OUR OFSTED REPORT

Open 50 Weeks Of The Year, 7:30am - 5:30pm

About us

Our nursery is thoughtfully arranged over two floors and is tailored to accommodate children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

Our Wilton nursery boasts an abundance of space and comes enriched with fascinating history. The building was originally a train station and still retains its original platform, along with other hidden treasures inside! Trains pass by daily, which is always a tremendous delight for the children here, as they absolutely love waving at the passing trains. We also have a delightful outdoor area for the children, located at both the front and back of the nursery.

Our setting is bathed in natural light, which streams through our spacious rooms, creating a perfectly serene and joyful environment for the children.

Baby Room - Hazels

Our baby room is thoughtfully designed across two beautifully connected spaces, creating a warm, hygge‑inspired environment where little ones feel safe, nurtured and at home. Soft lighting, gentle textures and cosy corners invite children to settle in comfortably, while natural materials and calm, neutral tones help create a soothing atmosphere for early exploration. Each area is carefully curated with a rich variety of resources—from sensory baskets and open‑ended wooden toys to snug reading nooks and imaginative play materials—encouraging curiosity, independence and discovery at every turn. The flow between the two rooms allows babies to explore at their own pace, offering both intimate spaces for quiet moments and more open areas for movement and play. Altogether, it’s a homely, heart‑warming environment where our youngest learners can grow, connect and thrive. .

Toddler Room - Chestnuts

Preschool Room - Mighty Oaks

Our toddlers' classroom is a haven of cosiness and family culture. Transitioning from our Hazels Room into our Chestnuts Class, this room is designed with the development of your child's individual needs in mind.

Our Toddler class is set within one large, spacious room that has been thoughtfully designed to help your little one feel happy, secure and inspired throughout their day. The space has a true home‑from‑home feel, with our culture of hygge woven into every detail through soft lighting, natural textures and warm, welcoming areas. A cosy quiet corner offers comfort and reassurance whenever children need a moment of calm, while the wider room provides a rich variety of carefully planned areas to support all aspects of their development. From imaginative play opportunities to spaces that nurture early social interaction and emotional growth, the environment is bright, engaging and full of possibilities. Altogether, it’s a nurturing, open space where toddlers can explore freely, build confidence and let their imaginations flourish.

Our Toddler class now have an exciting addition to their class rooms, their very own cosy / sleep room. This allows children who nap to have a cosy calming environment, and children to relax and enjoy a well deserved rest from their busy day.

Preschool Room - Mighty Oaks

Preschool Room - Mighty Oaks

Our Preschool room is made up of three beautifully designed classrooms, each offering its own unique learning environment while working together as one inspiring space for our older children. At the heart of this area is our dedicated learning room, thoughtfully created to help prepare children for their transition to school. Here, children can engage in focused activities that build early literacy, numeracy and problem‑solving skills, all within a warm, supportive and play‑rich setting. The adjoining classrooms provide opportunities for creativity, exploration and social development, giving children the freedom to move between spaces that spark curiosity and confidence. Altogether, our Preschool environment offers a balanced blend of structured learning and open‑ended play, ensuring every child feels ready, capable and excited for the next step in their educational journey.

Sleep Rooms

Our nursery is proud to offer a dedicated sleep room for our little Acorns, giving them a peaceful and comforting space to rest throughout the day. The room is softly lit and thoughtfully arranged to create a calm, soothing atmosphere where children can relax and drift off feeling safe and secure. With cosy cots, gentle lighting and a warm, homely feel, the sleep room is designed to support healthy sleep routines and ensure each child gets the rest they need to grow, learn and thrive. It’s a nurturing haven within our nursery, allowing little ones to recharge in a quiet, comforting environment tailored just for them.

Outdoor Space

Each classroom within the Nursery possess their very own outside area. Offering delightful and expansive outdoor space designed for all children to engage in learning and exploration. Each outside area is equipped in such a way that we can offer our own onsite Forestry sessions. This area provides boundless opportunities for imaginative play, featuring an extensive array of mud kitchens, sand pits, and bug houses.

The children have the opportunity to cultivate their own fruit and vegetables, thereby gaining valuable knowledge about the significance of consuming fresh produce.

Additional Charges

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in England sets the statutory framework for early childhood education and outlines what government‑funded childcare includes.

At Golden Acorns, we believe children flourish when they experience more than the minimum. While the EYFS provides an essential foundation, it does not cover the rich, nature‑inspired learning and extended opportunities that are central to our approach.

To offer this enhanced experience, we provide a Premium Package. These carefully designed additions enrich each child’s day and support their development in ways that go beyond the basic EYFS requirements.

Families accessing government‑funded hours are asked to contribute a small additional sessions fee towards these premium services.

But please note, these are not a condition of funding places and can be opted out at any time by parents.
